CUs are not meant to be Christian social clubs, but as you seek to impact your campus and grow in your faith together, strong friendships develop. Some of these last for a lifetime, but as we are increasingly inclined to move house and change jobs it can be very difficult to keep in touch. It can also be hard to find other Christian graduates in your area, or who are facing the same issues in their workplace. The Graduate Network is designed to help you keep in contact with friends from your CU and allow you to make contact with other graduates near you or in a similar job. You can still register with us as a graduate and receive our graduate resources even if you don't want others to contact you. The internet provides for great opportunities like this, but there are also threats. So, rather than reveal your contact details to the whole world, here's how it works: - Firstly you must select the option on your profile page which allows others to make contact.
- Then you can search by name, campus, graduation date, etc. to find those you want to get in touch with.
- When you click on "make contact" an email is sent to the other person giving your name, contact details, campus, graduation date, the town you live in and your general occupation and saying that you would like to get in touch with them.
- The person you are trying to reach can then accept your invitation and send you an email with whatever contact details they wish to share.
As you will realise, this network only works well if you allow others to contact you, and fill in your details relating to your life before and after graduation. We hope that you find this feature useful, and if you have any suggestions on how to improve this service then please do email us.
